Dear Qalesyah,

How are you? I hope you are in the pink of health. I heard the news of you getting an offered to enter the most prestigious school in Malaysia. I am so proud of you but the fact that you are having the second thought of not going to the school makes me worried. I don’t want you to miss the boat of being a part of the most prestigious school so, I am here to convince you to go to the boarding school.

Boarding school is a place where you can develop good habits in yourself. You will learn how to manage your time wisely because in a boarding school, there would be latecomer system and if you are a ‘latecomer’, you will be demerit and in order to gain back your marks that have been deducted, you have to do some community works or enter any competitions. Next, you will be an independent person because in a boarding school, you have to do everything on your own including washing clothes, make up bed and clean up your room. I know it would hard at the first place but trust me, everything will turns out well when you are used to it.

There are many students in a boarding school who came from many states. There would be from Kelantan, Perlis, Johor, Sarawak and many more. You can make friend with them. Besides making new friends, you can learn new cultures from your new friends who came in different states. Different states have different cultures. Furthermore, boarding school is one of the places that helps you to create a true friendship with your friends. If you have to burn the midnight oil, your friends will always accompany you because a friend in need is a friend indeed. You will learn how to work in a team when you are given a group work by the teachers. If you are given a chance to lead the group, you must grab the chance. Its where you learn the leadership skills and became a good leader to all of your group members.

Last but not least, when you are in a boarding school, you will get the most conducive study environment compared when you are at home. This is because when you enter a boarding school, you are not allowed to bring mobile phone. Mobile phone is the biggest distraction to a student like you. Therefore, you won’t be distracted by all the notifications that enter your phone and you won’t waste your time by scrolling the twitter timeline and stalking people on instagram. If you have to call your parents, there would be many public phones. You just have to prepare some coins whenever you want to use it. It is not as hard as what people think when you have to live at the boarding school without mobile phone.
